Support at Home has replaced the Home Care Packages (HCP) Program and Short Term-Restorative Care Programme as of 1 November 2025
Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)
- Subsidised support for basic care needs
- Live independently at home
- Flexible services tailored to individual needs.
- Social connection and community engagement
CHSP will transition to Support at Home no earlier than 1 July 2027
Privately Funded Home Care
- Start services immediately
- Access services while you wait for funding
- Receive services not covered by government funding
- A good option if you want more services than in your Home Care Package
